These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website kwajelyn.com and any orders placed with Kwajelyn Atelier LLC. Please read them carefully.
Kwajelyn Atelier LLC, a Texas limited liability company with its principal place of business at 1602 Waldeck Street, Farmers Branch, TX 75244.
A written quote is valid for 30 days from the date issued. Production begins only after a signed proposal and a deposit have been received. Fabric measurements and dye lots are confirmed in writing before any material is cut.
Unless we agree otherwise in writing, a 50% deposit is due to reserve production and the balance is due on completion, before delivery or installation. We accept ACH, card payments through Square and Stripe, and personal checks made out to Kwajelyn Atelier LLC.
Typical lead times are four to seven weeks for standard drapery orders and eight to twelve weeks for whole-home projects, measured from fabric approval. Any delay we can foresee will be communicated in writing as early as possible.
Because everything we make is cut to your specification, custom orders are not returnable once production has begun. If something arrives that isn't right, please tell us within 14 days of delivery and we will repair, remake or refund as appropriate.
Every seam we sew is guaranteed for ten years against workmanship defects. Fabric defects are covered by the mill warranty, which we will pursue on your behalf. Normal wear, sun-fade, pet damage and installation on unsound hardware not supplied by us are not covered.
When we install, we take reasonable care of your walls, floors and furniture. In older properties (pre-1960) we cannot guarantee that existing plaster or trim will bear new hardware without additional support; where in doubt, we will pause and consult you.
All photographs, designs, illustrations and copy on this site are the property of Kwajelyn Atelier LLC and may not be reproduced without written permission. We are happy to license images for editorial use — just ask.
You may not use this site in any way that interferes with its operation, attempts to gain unauthorized access, or scrapes it at scale without our written permission.
To the maximum extent allowed by Texas law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas.
