Cookie Policy
Last updated: February 12, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies kwajelyn.com uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. Read it alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and tags. They let a site remember choices, keep a session working and measure how pages perform.
2. Our approach
We load only strictly necessary storage by default. Nothing optional is loaded until you press "Accept all" in the cookie banner. If you press "Reject optional", or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, only necessary storage is used and no analytics or advertising tags are loaded.
3. Categories we use
| Name | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| kwaj_consent | Strictly necessary | Stores your cookie banner choice so we do not ask again on every page. | 6 months |
| Server session / security | Strictly necessary | Host-level protection against abuse and load balancing. | Session |
| Analytics (optional) | Performance | Aggregated page views, entry pages and time on page, so we know which service pages homeowners actually read. | Up to 13 months |
| Advertising measurement (optional) | Marketing | Attributes a call or form submission to an ad click on networks such as Microsoft Advertising, so we can stop paying for campaigns that do not work. | Up to 13 months |
4. Changing your mind
You can reopen the banner at any time using the button, and your new choice replaces the old one immediately. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings, or browse in a private window.
5. Browser-level controls
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies: Chrome (Settings › Privacy and security › Third-party cookies), Edge (Settings › Cookies and site permissions), Safari (Settings › Privacy), Firefox (Settings › Privacy & Security). Blocking all cookies may break parts of many websites, although this one will continue to function.
6. Third-party opt-outs
Industry opt-out tools are available through the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative, and most ad platforms offer their own personalization controls in your account settings.
7. Updates
If we add or remove a technology we will update this page and the date above. Material changes will also reset the banner so you can make a fresh choice.
8. Questions
